Eclipse - *Spoiler Alert!*

Eclipse is the third movie in the Twilight saga. This book gets more intense than the other two. There is action and violence and some sensuality. It starts off at the end of Bella’s senior year. She will graduate soon and wants to become a vampire like Edward. Her friend Jacob doesn’t want her to because he is the vampires’ rival; He is a werewolf. Bella has to choose between Edward and Jacob while a new group of vampires are running around Seattle.

Along with Jacob, there are other werewolves too but I will talk about them later. After Edward came back, Bella and Jacob's friendship died down a little. Bella wants to see him but he won’t see her.

In the beginning of this book, Bella is a senior. There is news everywhere about mysterious killings happening in Seattle and no one knows what is going on. After a while, Edward and his family realize who is killing all the people. They don’t know who created them or why but they are new vampires; the worst kind. The Cullens know that the killing is getting out of hand and something needs to be done before the Volturi come to stop it. The Volturi try to stop the humans from knowing about the vampires and sometimes the only way to do that is to destroy them. The Cullens and Bella want to prevent them from coming to Seattle because they know that the Volturi could check on Bella to see if she is still human.

This book is one of my favorites because it is so intense. It kept me wondering what would happen next during the whole book. The Cullens call some other vampires to help them destroy all the new vampires because they know they won’t be able to alone. Edward leaves Bella with Jacob to keep her safe (the new vampires are hunting her.) Unfortunately, it doesn’t work.

Victoria, a vampire that has been trying to kill Bella since the first book, is the one that made all of the new vampires. Her and her first newborn vampire, Riley, find Bella and Jacob. Edward realizes that they’ve found her and he goes to fight them. He destroys them and Bella is safe again. This book is very fun to read but it is a thick book and may take a long time to read. New Moon

New Moon is the second book in the Twilight saga. This one is more adventurous and exciting in my opinion. There is also a movie for this book which is much better than the first movie. I still think this book is better than the movie, though. It starts out with Bella and Edward’s senior year. She’s turning 18 so the Cullens throw a party for her. This great day quickly gets turned upside down.

Alice, Edward’s sister, is excited to throw Bella’s 18^th birthday party for her. It is at the Cullens’ house and starts off great. Then, while Bella is opening one of her presents, she gets a paper cut. Jasper, Edward’s newest vampire brother smells the blood from the paper cut. For newer vampires, it is extremely hard to resist human blood. Of course, Edward knows this and pushes Bella away behind him which knocks her into the wall and fights with Jasper. Bella cuts her arm open from broken glass. Carlisle, Edward’s father, is a doctor and he stitches Bella’s cut up. Watch the video here.

I think Edward made the whole incident worse by pushing her away. He has super strength and it is too easy for him to hurt her. Bella expects to see him at school the next day but he doesn’t show up. Later that day, he’s waiting at her house when she gets home from school.  He takes her into the woods to talk to her, and tells her that he is leaving Forks with his family.

After that, he leaves quickly and she is left in the woods alone. I think it’s incredibly stupid that Edward leaves her there. She gets lost and doesn’t know how to get home so she just stays there and falls asleep. A few hours later, she is being carried back home by Sam Uley. Edward took everything with him that would remind her of him and told her that it would be like he was never there.

She becomes good friends with Jacob, her dad's best friend's son. She doesn't know this but Jacob has a secret too. He's a werewolf. Throughout the rest of the book Bella tries to do dangerous things because she can see Edward when she's being reckless. One day after going cliff diving, Alice goes to her house because she thought Bella had died. Edward read Alice's thoughts and went to the Volturi to ask for death too. The Volturi are the most powerful vampires and that’s where a vampire would go when they have done something wrong. Edward’s plan is to show himself to the humans so the Volturi would kill him. Bella and Alice go to Italy to stop Edward from doing this and after they do Edward decides to stay in Bella’s life. I think Edward should have stayed with Bella in the first place because if he had stayed with her then she wouldn't have chose to do reckless activities.
